Songs and Music of Kelly J. Seager
Default Song: 4 a.m. Bliss by Kelly J. Seager
Thank you for checking out my personal music page! The following songs are examples of work I have done over the past few years.

Home Fires - by Kelly J. Seager - 5:07
Words, Music and Instrumentation by Kelly J. Seager
This song was inspired by a visit to a Canadian Military memorial in Petawawa, Ontario, that pays tribute to Canadian servicemen who have fallen overseas in the middle east. Nearby, is a park, with a playground, that overlooks, in the distance, the Ottawa River and valley. It's a pretty park. Upon leaving, I saw the name of the park, inscribed on a beautiful marble marker... It was Home Fires Park, and the inscription said, "In honor of those who have kept and continue to keep the home fires burning" and "En homage a ceux qui ont entretenu et qui continuent e'entretenir la flame au foyer"
'nuff said...

Life Gets in the Way - by Kelly J. Seager - 4:38
Words, Music and Instrumentation by Kelly J. Seager
This is a song about how seemingly little things add up to big things before you know it. If you don't notice on your own...it is also my attempt to find as many "ways" as I could to use the word "way" in one song. Ughhh.

Light on Every Corner - by Kelly J. Seager - 2:40
Words, Music and Instrumentation by Kelly J. Seager
One of my musical friends called this "your AM radio hit". Couldn't have described it better! Notice the recurring theme of life's wheels spinning?

Save Me
- by Kelly J. Seager - 3:52
Words, Music and Instrumentation by Kelly J. Seager
This song took quite awhile in the making. They lyrics sat dormant for nearly a year... just not sitting well in my brain. Then, one day, driving home from work, I told myself it needed to have a concrete story attached to it. So...magically, a local news story popped into my mind that I thought was worthy of consideration. The lyrics came forth fairly quickly after that. Although, the news story is only partly imbedded within, I left the plot obscured for the listener's interpretation. In summary, the song relates to the perspective of those who make poor decisions in the face of undiagnosed mental adversity.

Chase Your Blues Away
- by Kelly J. Seager - 6:17
Words, Music and Instrumentation by Kelly J. Seager
I was involved in a class at this time for school, and the task at hand was... Write and perform a song within four days. That was it... This is the result. Went home at the end of the last day, set up mics, and went through recording the tracks. Most of what you hear here are spontaneous "one offs"..., single first takes. That was a fairly big milestone for me, from someone who nitpicks over every detail... :)

Train to Nowhere
- by Kelly J. Seager - 6:17
Words, Music and Instrumentation by Kelly J. Seager
This is a call-back to what today would be called "classic country". It's also a tip of the hat to the days of story telling and musical simplicity. This song was the debut of my beloved Fender Telecaster!

Bright Light
- by Kelly J. Seager - 4:35
Words, Music and Instrumentation by Kelly J. Seager
This is a track I wrote that was in the works for quite awhile, but sat on the back burner awaiting further inspiration. It is still a work in progress, but worthy of representation here.

4:00 a.m. Bliss
- by Kelly J. Seager - 4:17
Words, Music and Instrumentation by Kelly J. Seager
This is my whimsical tongue-and-cheek ditty about when fantasy eclipses reality.

A modernized version of a romantic classic.
